We have selected a gathering of objects that bring happy memories from childhood and things we have fallen in love with. Many are antique reproductions for timeless contemporary living: large apothecary canisters, assorted sizes of glass bell jars, rustic birdhouses, 3 gable bird cage and wood lanterns accented by galvanized metal. Combine these objects with things you already have to create a personal statement all your own. Infuse a spirit of playfulness into your home and your guest will not want to leave. Evoke the memories of past summers, cozy winters and a sense of ease.

Michael Aram and Beatriz Ball collections are designed for the way we live now. These are table top pieces with depth of character, warmth and personality. We hope the irresistible natural form and polished sophistication will find a place on your table, too!

Michael Aram is trained as a painter, sculptor and art historian. Aram has neatly applied his diverse background to the decorative arts. A celebration of craft and age-old hand working traditions.

The Botanical Leaf Collection conjures a sense of freshness and fragility. The textures represent a metaphor for life itself... teapot, trivets, tongs, cake servers and wine rest. The Olive Branch Collection holds a powerful meaning in it's imagery... peace and victory, a wonderful permanence. The collections contains cheese boards and knives and various serving pieces.

Beatriz Ball is made entirely by hand, one at a time, using the ancient art of sand casting. The same casting method used by Romans and Greeks to create masterpieces is duplicated by pouring aluminum alloy into individual sand molds. Each piece is then hand polished to a deep lustrous finish. The handmade pieces will not tarnish or loose their shine. They can be used with confidence to heat, chill(even freeze) and safely serve food.

We know you will appreciate the new spins on surface and form. Beatriz Ball and Michael Aram pieces make wonderful gifts. Brides and friends alike will cherish your gift because it is an individual work of art hand made by artisans.

Valentine's Day is February 14th and we hope you spend it with someone special. In the movie, Holiday Inn, Bing Crosby operates a nightclub out of an aging farm house. He spends much of the movie trying to keep Fred Astaire from stealing his Valentine. I secretly root for Bing to win her heart in the end and if you want to know how it ends your going to have to rent the movie.

For me Valentine's Day holds many memories. In Junior High(that's right I'm so old they did not have middle school back then), we meticulously crafted pink and white kleenex into carnation corsages. We exchanged the pink ones with our secret loves and reserved the white ones for our best friends. Of course, I always hoped for more pink carnations than white. How Silly! It's the white ones that have meant more along the way.

Whether you are trying to win someone's heart, or you would like to let a friend know how special they are we have a wonderful selection of Valentine gifts: hand carved soapstone hearts, His and Hers Illume candles, Paperboli heart pins adorn with vintage jewels from Theresa Van Ornum, vintage jewelry from the parisian Pascale Monvoisin and hand-crafted boxes from Consuela and don't forget about our original collections of cards. After all, for so many of us, it all started with the Victorian tradition of exchanging Valentine's with the ones we love.
